About Jesse

Jesse has spent his entire legal career practicing in the field of New Jersey Workers’ Compensation. Prior to joining us at Kotlar, Hernandez & Cohen, Jesse worked on the defense side, representing insurance companies and self-insured businesses. That experience provided Jesse with a wealth of knowledge regarding the aims and operations of insurance companies, which he now uses to enhance his ability to advocate for New Jersey workers. Before graduating cum laude from Drexel university Law School in 2016, Jesse was a contributing writer and editor for the Drexel Law Review. After graduation, he clerked for the Honorable Carol E. Higbee in the Appellate Division of New Jersey Superior Court where he aided in the writing of judicial opinions that affected active case law.

Prior to his legal career, Jesse attended and graduated from St. Joe’s Prep in his hometown of Philadelphia and then Boston College, where he graduated with a B.A. in History and Education along with a minor in Special Education. He was a teacher for nearly ten years, two of which were spent as an English teacher in Taiwan. These experiences instilled in Jesse a desire to help people along with an ability to connect with those from all different backgrounds and walks of life.
