The Camp Lejeune Justice Act

Yesterday, President Biden signed the Camp Lejeune Justice Act, allowing military veterans and families harmed by contaminated water at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune to file lawsuits against the federal government.

Between 1953 and 1987, water supplies at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina were contaminated with hazardous chemicals linked to numerous injuries, including:

•     Cancer
•     Neurological defects, such as Parkinson’s disease or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
•     Miscarriages
•     Birth defects
•     Other injuries

Over one million military service personnel and their families were exposed to contaminated water. The government knew that the water had been contaminated but took no action.

If you or a loved one were affected as a result of this contamination, please call our office for a free consultation. We may be able to help you receive the compensation and care that you deserve.
